The problem

Choosing UPSC coaching involves months of research and a substantial commitment of time. Aspirants encounter many academies making similar claims about results. A familiar wall of ranks provides little help in deciding what the programme will actually be like.

Photon also offers programmes at very different levels of commitment, from a free school quiz to mentorship and a flagship course. Treating them as one flat list obscures their purpose.

Constraints that shaped the work

The experience needs to explain hybrid delivery and the choice of English or Malayalam. Faculty expertise matters to the purchase decision, and already-enrolled students need a practical route to their portal.

Prospective students are making a considered choice rather than a quick landing-page purchase. The content has to support sustained reading.

Explain the year before making the claim

The programme story starts with the structure of the year: what happens in a week, how preparation changes between exam stages and what takes place between classes.

Results are stated with names, ranks and years rather than presented as a dense promotional wall. The accepted trade-off is a quieter first impression, with more attention available for concrete programme information.

Give each programme a place

The free quiz, mentorship and flagship programme form a progression. Duration, format and price are visible so an aspirant can compare commitments before enquiring.

Hybrid delivery is explained through practical details: which sessions are live or in person, what happens after a missed session, and how language choice works.

Let teaching demonstrate its quality

Faculty profiles foreground subject expertise. Resources and articles use a readable long-form template, recognising that free material helps prospective students assess teaching before they pay.

Student sign-in remains a separate, quiet entry point. Existing students can reach class without navigating the acquisition journey again.

What I built

My published scope covers UX, UI and the front-end build. It includes programme pages, faculty profiles, article templates, enquiry flows and the student sign-in entry point.

Outcome and further questions

The site now states the structure, schedule, format and fees that aspirants need to understand before making contact. The published account describes better-informed initial conversations, without a numerical conversion claim.

A useful next question is whether visitors can accurately explain the differences between programmes after reading the pages. That would test comprehension, rather than relying on enquiry volume alone.
